4 Tips To Improve Tire Life For Your SoCal Vehicle

Buying new tires is a big investment, but they’re worth it. You’ll have a safer and smoother ride and even improve your gas mileage! If you are looking for ways to extend your vehicle’s tire life, here are 4 simple tips to practice.
 
1) Maintain Correct Tire Pressure - Tire pressure affects gas mileage, ride quality and tread life. 
 
We recommend checking your tire pressure monthly, and especially before a road trip or when you’ll be carrying a heavy load. 
 
Helpful tip: Always check your tire pressure when the tires are cold, not right after they’ve been driven. 
 
2) Rotate Your Tires Regularly - Routine tire rotations can extend the lifespan of your tire’s tread. Your vehicle manufacturer may have a recommended time, but most vehicles should have their tires rotated every 5,000 – 7,000 miles. Not only will it help with even tread wear, but it will help your tires’ performance.
 
3) Maintain Proper Alignment - Your wheels should be square with the road and parallel with each other. Improper alignment can lead to premature or uneven tread wear.
